Besiktas star Leandro Trossard is well aware of the 'crazy' Celtic fans he and his side will have to contend with on Thursday night.
Celtic welcome the Turkish side to Parkhead for a crucial Europa League clash, likely needing to win to keep their chances of progressing through to the next round realistic.
But Besiktas are a strong side, boasting Arsenal title winner Trossard and former Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic among others. They have already picked up seven points in the competition from just three games, and they likely only need two wins from their last five games in the league phase to wrap up automatic promotion to the Round of 16.
Celtic are at least at home on Thursday night, and they will be hoping the atmosphere can play a part in willing them over the line, but Turkish sides are not easily rocked, given the fans they plan in front of week in, week out.
“We want to get three points from the Celtic match," Trossard has said. "It will be very tough. They have loud and crazy fans but if we can translate what we want onto the pitch, then we will win.
“People don’t pay any attention to it, but the support from the fans is incredibly effective in difficult times. We have won matches with their support.”
He added: “I’m very excited and we want to reach the top in Europe. The decisive factor is the draw and the team’s performance during these next few games. Our current goal is to be in the top eight.”
Besiktas are currently fourth in the Turkish league, and they have had some trouble away from home, winning one of only five they have played on the road so far in the league.
But they did win their only Europa League away game so far, seeing off German club Hoffenheim.
