Celtic are back in action on Thursday night when they face Benfica away from home in a very difficult-looking Europa League clash. The Bhoys lost their league phase opener, against Ferencvaros, so they could really do with a point or more here to kick-start their campaign, and they will take some confidence from returning to winning ways over Motherwell over the weekend.

Benfica, meanwhile, pulled off an impressive win over Benfica, and they will fancy themselves to have a real chance of success in this competition this season.

Ahead of this game, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides.

Jakub Kaminski - Out

Kaminsku picked up a muscular injury last week and will be out for this one.

Alexander Bah - Out

Bah is out for another couple of weeks with a shoulder issue.

Enzo Barrenechea - Out

Barrenechea is sidelined until early November with a knee issue.

Cameron Carter-Vickers - Doubt

O'Neill said after the Motherwell clash: “He might not be fit for Thursday. I think he’s got a strain and he’s missing this one. The physios and the medical team have told me that Thursday might be too early. But the European game will just end up taking care of itself. It’ll be a tough game."

Joel Van den Berg - Out

O'Neill said ahead of the Motherwell hame: "He's making good progress. He hurt himself in training here. So he's got that [moon boot] off. I think he'll be, as they say, on the grass very shortly."

Alisair Johnston - Out

Johnston is working his way back from a hamstring issue and remains a couple of weeks away. O'Neill said last week: "I notice now that Alistair Johnston’s on the grass. He’s coming into Lennoxtown when they’re doing some build-up work. That’s encouraging."

Callum Osmand - Out

O'Neill said at the same time: "Young Osmand is doing the same as well too, so that’s very encouraging. A couple of other injuries, I think they’re (Osmand and Johnston) a wee bit further behind. But yeah, we’re making progress."

Landon Emenalo - Out

There is still no sight of Emenalo, who has been out since his arrival.

Yang Hyun-jun - Doubt

Yang has been working his way back to full fitness after a hamstring issue he picked up at the Asian Games. He was not risked on Sunday and he will be a doubt here.
