I started Celtic By Numbers as a result of capturing data about my son's football team to help the coaches and aid performance analysis and development. I realised I could do the same for Celtic matches, and identified that no one else seemed to have the depth of data I could collect without paying. So I started to back fill all the matches from the start of the Ronnie Deila era – it seemed like a time of optimism and a fresh start!I do not claim to be an analytics expert nor a professional coach. But I do aim to provide unique insight into Celtic player, team, and opposition performance from a unique data set. I welcome feedback and debate on all content.
