Celtic are expected to strengthen in a few positions this January. If the recent speculation is accurate then signing a left winger might be the priority of the club in the winter transfer window. Daizen Maeda has been the starter there but does not really have someone challenging him for the starting XI spot.

On the other hand, it is very likely that Luis Palma will be on his way out of the club next month, whether it be on loan or permanent basis. The Honduran winger, who had been a key player for Celtic early on in his run at Parkhead, has found himself on the periphery of the squad in recent times.

Palma has barely gotten any playing time this season and it might be the right step for him to look for a change in scenery. MLS clubs are believed to be interested in the Honduran international ahead of January.

On the other hand, Celtic have been linked with plenty of wingers. Michel-Ange Balikwisha, Jota and Bazoumana Toure all fall under that category. Another such player is Louie Barry and Aston Villa's recent decision might come as a boost for the Hoops.

As reported by Stockport County's official website, Barry is set to be recalled from his loan spell by parent club Aston Villa in January. He will return for a period of assessment with Unai Emery’s first-team squad.

Barry has been a standout on loan at Stockport County. According to Transfermarkt, he has scored 14 goals and provided 3 assists in 21 League One appearances so far this season.

It is very likely that Barry will head out on loan once again. Will Celtic fill a position of need on a temporary basis this winter like they did last time around with Adam Idah?
