Arsenal reportedly interested in and scouting Celtic player
In recent years, Celtic have struggled to provide a pathway into the first-team for their highly-rated academy graduates. Of course, that is a major problem for the club and has resulted in many fantastic youngsters leaving before ever getting into the senior team. And it looks like Arsenal have their eyes on one of the Hoops' best talents.
In some ways, it is not hard to understand why it might be difficult for Celtic managers to give consistent chances to youngsters. They are under pressure to win almost every game that the club take part in.
Just take this season for example. Celtic have won ten games out of eleven. Yet, it is the defeat against Borussia Dortmund that has been the centre of focus and raised questions over Brendan Rodgers' suitability to manage in the Champions League.
Coming back to the main topic of this article though. Celtic said goodbye to one very talented Rocco in the summer with Vata joining Watford. Now, it looks like another is drawing attention down in England.
Arsenal reportedly interested in and scouting Celtic player
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Arsenal are keeping close tabs on creative wide player Rocco di Giacomo. The club have already sent their scouting team to focus on Scottish talent.
Giacomo won't be involved in the Celtic first-team picture any time soon. So, his departure would not have an immediate effect on the team. Despite that, it is not hard to understand why such talents leaving the club is a worry for the Hoops.
It is a situation whose solution they need to find. And yet, it is almost impossible to do so. If the title race does not prove to be a tight one, one would hope that Rodgers hands plenty of playing time to Celtic's best youngsters this season.
