A week after Brendan Rodgers quit his job as Celtic manager, there is no real clarity regarding who will be replacing him in the long run. Martin O'Neill and Shaun Maloney are in interim charge of the team. To be fair to them, they have done extremely well considering the circumstances. The Hoops won 4-0 against Falkirk and followed that up with a 3-1 victory against the Rangers at Hampden Park to book their place in the Scottish League Cup final, where they will take on St Mirren.

In the aftermath of the result, many fans have called for O'Neill to be handed the job until the end of the season. And that seems to be becoming more likely with every passing day, as one manager after another drop out of the race for the Parkhead job.

Ange Postecoglou, Mark van Bommel and Craig Bellamy seem to be already out of contention. And now, it looks like Robbie Keane has his sights set elsewhere as well.

The Ferencvaros boss has been heavily linked with Celtic and there have been suggestions that he would be interested in the role. But it is not the only one on his radar. As reported by Molineux News, Keane has applied for the Wolves job.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Celtic. As for the Wolves, they are looking for a new manager as well, having sacked Vitor Pereira recently.

Wolves have made a terrible start to the campaign. They sit bottom of the Premier League and have not won any of their ten games in the competition so far.

As a result, relegation is a very real possibility for them. But it looks like that has not deterred Keane from throwing his hat into the ring.
