More than a third of the January transfer window is now gone. So far, Celtic have only been able to make one signing, and that too a loan deal, as Julian Araujo has been brought in from Bournemouth until the end of the season. On the other hand, we have seen three potential transfer moves fall apart already.

Kyogo was wanted by the club but a move could not be engineered. Wilfried Nancy's sacking appears to have resulted in them dropping their interest in Niko Sigur. And although a deal had been agreed to sign Jocelin Ta Bi, an injury requiring surgery appears to have derailed that as well.

So, where will Celtic go from here in this transfer window? Well, it looks like the club are still looking to strengthen in three positions.

Anthony Joseph was recently asked if Celtic were in for any other players, and if so, which positions were they targeting. The Sky Sports reporter named ST, RW and RCB as the priorities.

Well, having priorities is one thing. Getting deals done is another. And that is the part in which Celtic have often struggled, especially in recent windows.

It is not hard to understand why the club would want a striker. Neither Kyogo nor Adam Idah have been replaced since they left. On the other hand, their interest in Ta Bi is proof that they want to sign a winger this winter. And while they might be set to miss out on the Ivorian, there have been rumours that talks are taking place over a loan move for Ignacio Laquintana. Finally, a right centre-back would help fill the void of Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is out injured for the foreseeable future.

Now, it remains to be seen how many of their targets the club are able to reach in this window. Of course, the best-case scenario would see them strengthen in all three positions.
