We have already seen quite a few players leave Celtic this summer. The most high-profile of them has been the departure of Nicolas Kuhn. The German winger, who was the Hoops' talisman in their run to the Champions League knockout phase last season and scored goals against RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich, has moved to Como FC in a €19 million-plus deal.
Now, the focus has to be on bringing in a proper replacement for him on the right flank. But it looks like another player from the same position is now eyeing a summer exit as well.
As reported by Anthony Joseph, Yang Hyun-jun has signalled his intention to explore a move, amid interest in England and Europe. Celtic are yet to decide on whether to let the South Korean winger leave this summer.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Yang. He did have a decent second half to the 24/25 campaign and was showing signs of progress. But that being said, he is still nowhere near good enough to be a starter for the Hoops. Does he think he will get more playing time somewhere else?
Anthony Joseph confirms another Celtic player wants to leave
Celtic have already signed one winger this summer in the form of Benjamin Nygren. Initially, there had been suggestions that the plan was to deploy him in the number 10 role.
But with Kuhn leaving this summer, and Yang also being linked with a move away, Brendan Rodgers might have to consider using Nygren on the right flank. It remains to be seen when Celtic end up signing another winger.
They have been linked with quite a few wingers in recent times but lately, we have seen a few of them end up joining other clubs. Hopefully, Celtic will be able to complete a few deals soon.
