Kyogo Furuhashi's move to Rennes has certainly left a void in Celtic's squad that they need to find a way to fill as soon as possible. There is a theory that the club could opt to play Daizen Maeda in a centre-forward role from here on while Jota takes his place on the wing. But on the other hand, that is not a role that the Japanese international has played often for the Hoops. So, there would be an element of risk to rely on him to be the main striker immediately.
So, there are a lot of Celtic fans hoping that the club sign another striker in the final days of the winter transfer window. Mathias Kvistgaarden is someone that they have been linked with for a few years now and it looks like he is the most likely option right now to come in to replace Kyogo.
On the other hand, it looks like another striker might be on Celtic's radar as well. And it is someone drawing the interest of several other clubs.
As reported by Tipsbladet, several big clubs are monitoring Tammer Bany. Specifically, Celtic as well as FC Nantes from France, OH Leuven from Belgium, Al Ahli from Egypt and Rakow Czestochowa from Poland are showing interest in the Randers player.
Another striker linked with Celtic transfer move
Bany can play as a striker as well as a playmaker. But he has not been exactly prolific in front of goal for Randers.
So, it is hard to see how someone like Bany would solve Celtic's issue at the moment. They need to replace Kyogo, who scored 85 goals in three and a half seasons for the club.
It remains to be seen how things play out over the last few days of this window. Hopefully, a striker will be signed soon.
