There is plenty of bad news if you are a Celtic fan. Jota was confirmed to be out for the foreseeable future. The Portuguese winger had been in good form for the Hoops but suffered an injury against Dundee United. While he did end up taking part in the post-match celebrations, it has now been deemed that he will be out of action for six to nine months. He is not the only one who has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign ,either.

Jota had been a regular for Celtic since his return. Someone who has not gotten nearly as much playing time is Dane Murray, who has made only two appearances for the Hoops this season.

Still, he is a decent option to have around in case of injury problems to others. But Murray himself won't be available for the remainder of the season due to a knee issue.

As reported by the Irish Independent, Rodgers said about the situation of Murray and when he will be back:

"Dane Murray has had an issue with his knee, and he'll be out for the rest of the season and then be ready for pre-season."

Murray first cropped up in the Celtic first-team picture early on in Ange Postecoglou's run as the manager of the club, when the squad was paper-thin and set to undergo a rebuild. The youngster started at centre-back in both of their Champions League qualifying games against Midtjylland and impressed many.

Remarkably, it took him until this season to feature again for Celtic. He played against Raith Rovers and then was brought on as a substitute against Aston Villa in the Champions League.

There is still time for Murray to make an impact at Celtic though. He is just 21 years of age. Hopefully, he will be fit in time to feature in pre-season and impress Rodgers. We can only wish him the best of luck in his recovery.
