This week has been filled with departures for Celtic. The headline one was Greg Taylor's move to PAOK. For months, it was expected that the Scot would leave at the end of his contract but now, it has been made official. He is not the only one to depart though. Daniel Cummings is also heading to West Ham United. And now, a third move is close to becoming reality.

There are a number of players who do not seem to be a major part of Brendan Rodgers' plans right now. One of them is Gustaf Lagerbielke.

The Swede spent the previous campaign out on loan at FC Twente. And while he was not signed on a permanent basis by the Dutch club, it appears that a Portuguese side will do that this summer.

As reported by Sportbladet, the parties have now in principle agreed on a deal where the Swede will move. Lagerbielke is also expected to undergo a medical this week if everything goes as planned and thus sign for his new club.

Lagerbielke is a good talent. But it has never seemed like he is the right fit for the style of football that Rodgers wants to play. The recruitment has to be questioned rather than the player or the manager.

Celtic signed him from IF Elfsborg for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £3 million. But it looks like they will have to part ways with him for a lower figure. Of course, that is the nature of the game.

On the other hand, Celtic are expected to sign a centre-back soon. It is believed that Hayato Inamura is set to join the club this summer and his impending exit has already been confirmed in Japan.
