An interesting rumour broke out yesterday as it emerged that Celtic's top choice to be their next manager might not be available until December. One can only wonder who that is. There have been suggestions that that points towards the likes of Craig Bellamy of the Wales national team, Kjetil Knutsen of Bodo/Glimt and Wilfried Nancy of Columbus Crew.
One cannot completely rule out the possibility of Ange Postecoglou either though. There have been suggestions that he wants to spend some time away from the game after being sacked twice in quick succession. Waiting until December will give him a couple of months off to recharge his batteries.
Perhaps that is wishful thinking on our part. Then again, never say never in football. Danny Rohl turned down the Rangers job only to take it a few days later just last month.
A lot of Celtic fans would want to see Postecoglou back in the Parkhead hot seat. In fact, he would be the most popular choice. That includes celebrity supporters like Snoop Dogg. As reported by the Daily Record, the iconic American rapper said:
"You got to give Martin O’Neill big respect, he is coming back when we need him. I think you got to bring Ange back, the club are gonna do what they are gonna do but the fans would love to see him back."
A-list celebrity ready to invest in Celtic and wants Ange Postecoglou back
Snoop Dogg has been a Celtic supporter for many years. And it is very clear that he does keep up with the Hoops. In fact, he is open to investing in the club as well, if the right opportunity presented itself. He said:
"Investing in Celtic is something I have talked about in the past and if the opportunity was right I would be down for it.
“Celtic is a huge club and fans want to see the best players playing in this great stadium. All the owners have got to do is ask."
It is safe to say that the fans are looking for change at the moment. There have been some rumours that Peter Lawwell and Michael Nicholson could be moving on from their roles soon. It remains to be seen how accurate that speculation turns out to be.
On the other hand, Dermot Desmond is not a popular figure either, especially after the statement he put out following Brendan Rodgers' resignation. But it is hard to imagine that he will be going anywhere, anytime soon.
As for Snoop Dogg, it is great to see that he keeps up with the club closely. Hopefully, the Hoops will give him a Glasgow Derby victory to cheer about later today.
