Celtic will need to work quickly if they want to get deals done in time before the January transfer window closes. Fortunately, some positive noises have come out regarding the chance of moves happening. As it turns out, one of their top targets appears to be keen on making the move to Glasgow.

Almost out of nowhere, Celtic have been linked with a number of wingers over past 24 hours or so. It is believed that talks have been held regarding multiple targets. And a favourite is quickly emerging.

As reported by the Daily Record, Demir Redzic is an option that Celtic have on their radar but Fares Ghedjemis is the preferred choice. The Frenchman has indicated that he would be keen on a move to Scotland.

Ghedjemis is currently playing in the second division of Italian football with Frosinone. So, it is not hard to understand why he would be interested in making the step up to Celtic, where he will get the chance to compete for domestic trophies and play at the European League level.

It has been suggested that a transfer fee in the region of £6 million would be enough to convince Frosinone to part ways with Ghedjedis. Now, it remains to be seen if Celtic are ready to pay that kind of a sum for someone playing in the Italian second division or they will try to bring that price down, despite time quickly running out.

It is a good thing that they have a backup option in the form of Redzic. But he is on the radar of RB Salzburg as well.

The best-case scenario for Celtic would be if they could get the deal for Ghedjedis over the line. That being said, considering the club's recent recruitment record, one cannot be too sure about the success of the Frenchman.
