Celtic need to add to their options up top this January. Kyogo has done well once again but he is not scoring as frequently as he was last season. On the other hand, Oh Hyeon-gyu has been inconsistent as well and is not at the level required to start for the Hoops right now. There is also the AFC Asian Cup coming up early next year.

Both Kyogo and Oh might end up getting selected by their respective national teams. If that turned out to be the case, Celtic would be without a striker for a significant length of time.

That is the last thing they need, especially when they have not been at their best at any point this season so far. So, do not be surprised to see a striker being signed in the January transfer window.

Quite a few players have been linked with Celtic in this regard. Lawrence Shankland of Hearts and Mathias Kvistgaarden of Brondby have been brought up as potential targets. But Bojan Miovski is a name that has started to do the rounds of the rumour mill as well after a great start to the season despite Aberdeen’s struggles as a team.

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Barry Ferguson said about Miovski while speaking on Go Radio:

"“He has grown on me.“I like him. Good movement. It’s a brilliant finish (against Rangers) against a goalkeeper who has hit top form.“His overall game as well. I wasn’t too sure of him. But he is clearly a goalscorer and they are hard to find.”"

On Miovski potentially going to Celtic, Ferguson said:

"“He has shown that he is good enough. 11 goals for an Aberdeen team that has struggled this season. He is definitely an out-and-out goalscorer. Decent link-up play as well. He is also an international.”"

Miovski has certainly proven himself as a goalscorer since arriving at Aberdeen. He scored 18 goals for them over the course of the previous campaign. He already has 11 to his name this time around. That is as many as Kyogo and Oh have managed combined. And one cannot forget that the Dons are not having a good season by any means.

Naturally, one would expect his goal rate to go up in a team like Celtic. It remains to be seen if they make a move.
