Celtic as a club are always looking to find ways to get better, take steps forward in the right direction and change with the times. Over the last few years, we have seen how the Hoops have spread their scouting network further and wider when it comes to signing players. The likes of Kyogo, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, Alistair Johnston, Luis Palma, Cameron Carter-Vickers and several more are now prominent parts of the first-team picture.

With this strategy producing great results for Celtic, one expects the Hoops to continue on this path. They have been linked with South Korean and Japanese players ahead of the upcoming January transfer window as well.

On the other hand, Celtic are looking to help in the development of the game at the youth level as well. And they have announced a partnership recently.

As reported by the club’s official website, Celtic Soccer Academy have agreed a partnership with Get GungHo from Singapore. It is a three-year deal. It will give them access to coaching curriculums and camps. It will also provide an opportunity for both players and coaches to travel to Scotland in order to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the Hoops develop youngsters to reach their potential.

Such a partnership will of course help in the development of the game in Singapore. At the same time, it will also help Celtic keep an eye out for talent in the region of the world.

They are Celtic’s first partners from Singapore and it does show the growth of the Hoops in Asia. It should not come as a surprise though, considering the number of Asian players in the first-team squad right now.

It is certainly a step in the positive direction on the part of the Hoops. The club should be commended for it.
