Celtic eyeing Manchester United and Liverpool target
Celtic have been linked with a number of highly-rated players in recent times, as we head towards the January transfer window. The Hoops are expected to be busy in the winter with both incomings and outgoings. While the fans want some experience to be added to the squad, it looks like the Scottish champions are continuing to keep their eye out on some of the best youngsters in the world today.
One player who has been making a bit of a splash lately is Sam Curtis. He currently plays for St Patrick’s Athletic in the League of Ireland Premier Division.
Curtis is just 17 years of age but he has already caught the eye of some of the most prestigious clubs in Europe. The fact that he is playing at a level that saw him being named in the PFAI Team of the Year certainly had something to do with that.
As reported by 90min, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing Curtis. Celtic have also scouted the right-back. And some Championship clubs are being linked with the 17-year-old talent as well.

It goes without saying that Curtis is a major talent. What he has achieved at just 17 is very impressive, to say the least.
If Celtic are able to sign him, then it would have to be considered as a major coup on the part of the club. It will not be easy to pull off though, considering the level of competition in the race to sign Curtis.
Celtic can offer Curtis a chance to compete for trophies every season as well as a bigger scope to be involved in the first-team picture. It would be very difficult to get minutes at clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and more for the 17-year-old Irish youth international.
