Celtic are home to footballers from all around the world and it is always good to see former players back in town. On this occasion, a couple of them will be on the opposition side though. The Scotland national team are set to take on Norway soon in the UEFA EURO Qualifiers even though Steve Clarke’s side have already booked their place in the tournament.

Scotland’s most recent result was a 2-2 draw against Georgia. Let’s see how they do next against Erling Haaland and company.

Two former Celtic players might be involved on the day. They are Kristoffer Ajer and Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Ajer and Elyounoussi were pictured together while arriving in Glasgow. The latter posted the picture on his Instagram story and captioned it ‘Boys back in town’ along with a green heart emoji.

Ajer spent several years playing for Celtic. He was signed by the club when he was 17 years of age. It was at Parkhead that he would develop his game and ultimately leave in order to join Brentford in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Elyounoussi spent a couple of seasons on loan at Celtic from Southampton. He did a decent job but was not signed on a permanent basis.

There was talk of Elyounoussi potentially returning to Celtic not too long ago. But he ended up joining FC Copenhagen. He seems to be doing well there and even scored a headline-grabbing goal recently, as he found the back of the net against Manchester United in the Champions League.

FC Copenhagen scripted a famous win on that night. They came back from two goals down to win 4-3 against Manchester United, a night that will live on in the history of the club forever. It was great to see Elyounoussi play his part in that triumph.
