Celtic make fantastic early morning announcement
Celtic are having an interesting season at the moment. After stumbling out of the gates, which saw them get knocked out of the Scottish League Cup early, they have certainly found their feet in domestic competitions and have a comfortable lead in the Premiership table. But their Champions League campaign has once again left a lot to be desired.
Following their 6-0 loss away at Metropolitano Stadium at the hands of Atletico Madrid, Celtic’s chances of making it out of the group are as good as over. They have two matches left to be played, against Lazio and Feyenoord. Fans will be hoping that they can win at least one of them.
Amidst all this, the club made a positive announcement in the morning. It looks like the Celtic FC Player of the Year awards ceremony is going to be bigger and better than ever before in 2024.
As reported by the club’s official website, the 20th staging of the Celtic FC Player of the Year awards ceremony, the event will be held at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on May 12, 2024. 11,000 fans will be able to enjoy the annual ceremony in person and pre-sale tickets are on sale now to Season Ticket holders.

It is always a good night to reflect on the season. And fans will be getting the chance to do that amidst former and present Celtic stars for the first time ever.
At the moment, Matt O’Riley seems to be the early frontrunner for the Player of the Year award. Of course, the season that Liam Scales is having cannot be overlooked either.
That being said, the majority of the season is still to be played and a lot of other names could crop up as potential candidates. It will be interesting to see how the campaign turns out.
