Celtic signed a lot of top players during the time of Ange Postecoglou as the manager of the club. The Australian left in the summer in order to join Tottenham Hotspur, and he has made a flying start to life in the Premier League as his side appear to be genuine title contenders. Could he look to reunite with some of his former players in London?

Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Matt O’Riley have all been linked with moves to Tottenham Hotspur at one point or another since Postecoglou made the move. Now, it looks like another Celtic player is on their radar.

That is none other than Kyogo Furuhashi. The Japanese forward was one of the first signings of the Postecoglou Era and many believe that he was the best one as well.

As reported by The Sun, Postecoglou sent Ian Broomfield to Scotland on a four-day scouting mission. Kyogo has been watched by Tottenham’s scouts.

Kyogo put pen to paper on a long-term contract extension with Celtic not too long ago. But at the same time, that does not mean that he could not leave in the future. In fact, if the right offer was on the table, it would be very likely for him to head for the exit door. That is just the reality of life at Parkhead.

Kyogo has been an absolute superstar for Celtic since joining the club in the summer of 2021 from Vissel Kobe. He scored 34 goals in the previous season, as the Hoops clinched the domestic treble.

This time around, he has answered one major question about him, by scoring in the Champions League. Kyogo might have drawn a blank in Europe’s elite competition last season, but this time around, he has goals against Lazio and Atletico Madrid to his name.
