With Ross County going down to ten men early, one would have expected Celtic to come out with all three points from their away trip. And to be honest, they took quite some time to find the opener. Oh Hyeon-gyu had a goal chalked off and it was David Turnbull who scored the first for the Hoops on the day.

It remained 1-0 for a while. It was Luis Palma who provided some inspiration after being brought on as a substitute.

Palma seems to be getting better every week. He scored a fantastic goal from distance to put Celtic 2-0 up. And then, he set up James Forrest for the third of the day, as the Hoops won 3-0.

There were quite a few controversial refereeing decisions on the day though. Brendan Rodgers took the time to talk about them after the match.

As reported by Glasgow World, Rodgers said while speaking to Sky Sports:

"“We had some goals disallowed which I need to see again, especially the offside. But even the one before that where you had two guys jumping for the ball and the ball lands and we finish and it’s given as a no goal. So I didn’t see that as a good decision.”"

Celtic have done a very good job till now of getting results even on days when they are not at their best. And this was an example.

They will need to be at their very best in their next game though as they will be heading for the Spanish capital in order to take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. It could very well prove to be their toughest test of the season.

It goes without saying that the home side will be the favourites but one cannot count Celtic out yet. They showed with their performance at Parkhead that they are capable of competing with Diego Simeone’s side on their day. Of course, this match is expected to be more difficult. Let’s see how the Hoops do. They need to get a result if they are to keep their European hopes alive.
