It is easy to forget that some Celtic players are still coming to grips with Brendan Rodgers’ style of football while the manager is also learning about several on his roster. The Northern Irishman might have already had a very successful stint at Parkhead but this is a very different team. The 3-0 win away at Ross County was definitely a good result.

For a long time, the game was much closer in terms of the scoreline than one would have anticipated when Ross County got a player sent off early on. The substitutes would end up extending the gap though and ultimately, the Hoops got themselves a 3-0 victory.

It was a big day for Oh Hyeon-gyu. The South Korean striker made his first start under the management of Rodgers.

It had looked like he had got himself a goal as well but it was ruled out. And ultimately, while he did not score, he seems to have made a positive impression on the matter and might be starting to win him over.

As reported by The Celtic Way, Rodgers said when talking about Oh after the match:

"“He did really well. He’s simplifying his game. Sometimes you can come and try to force the game, but he played it simply, set the game up well and worked very hard.”"

While Oh might not have found the back of the net in the game against Ross County, he certainly did not hurt his chances of getting more minutes moving forward. He is a very different kind of option to Kyogo and one who could make his presence felt over the course of the season.

A lot was made of the fact that Oh did not score this season until the game against St Mirren. But one cannot forget that he was not getting a significant amount of playing time either and having to do with minutes here and there.

Now, it seems like he might get a bit more playing time moving forward. Let’s see if he can put up the numbers.
