It is difficult to make a judgement on Celtic’s squad till now. There are many who arrived in the summer and must be given some time to settle down. But so far, Luis Palma seems to be the only one who could potentially be a part of the club’s best starting XI. With Reo Hatate out injured, perhaps Paulo Bernardo will get a run in the team as well and let’s see how he does if that indeed turns out to be the case.

One of the complaints that many fans have had regarding the team in recent weeks is about their lack of squad depth. Just have a look at the players that Brendan Rodgers has brought on as substitutes in the previous two games.

They are not exactly players who you would expect to come in and turn a game around. Someone like Giorgos Giakoumakis, who left the club not too long ago.

Celtic are expected to be active in the January transfer window. And Chris Sutton appears to have an idea of what they need to do.

As reported by Glasgow Times, Sutton told Sky Sports:

"“They tired a little bit in the second-half and I thought they brought a bit of their second-half performance into the Hibs game, if you like.“There was a bit of fatigue there, once they made the changes Celtic looked a lot better and the passing was quicker and sharper. But they need to find a way to cope on both fronts and maybe the squad depth is something Brendan will look at in January.”"

It remains to be seen what kind of moves Celtic make in the January transfer window. One would not expect them to add too many fresh faces to the squad, following nine new arrivals over the summer. But there are some areas where they might need to improve. It will be interesting to see if they are able to make the necessary adjustments.

There has already been a lot of talk about signing a left-back and a goalkeeper. But at the moment, it feels like the Hoops need another striker as well, who can score consistently and cover for Kyogo. Oh Hyeon-hyu had shown a lot of promise last season but is yet to score this time around.
