Ange Postecoglou might no longer be the manager of Celtic but his fingerprints still remain on this squad. Most of the players were signed during the time of the Australian in the Parkhead hot seat and many of them won five trophies over the previous two seasons under his management. There are only happy memories from his time in Glasgow.
One player who did not play under the management of Postecoglou though is Luis Palma. And yet, the winger took a page out of the Australian’s book following Celtic’s win over Hearts.
He posted photos of himself on Instagram accompanied by the caption: ‘We never stop’. Of course, that is the mantra that Postecoglou made famous during his time at Celtic and one which resonated with the fans as well.
Postecoglou might be looking to challenge for the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur right now. But his mantra lives on at Celtic Park as well.
Celtic player quotes Postecoglou after win vs Hearts
Postecoglou has had nothing but positive things to say about Celtic and the club’s fans since his move down south. And while the supporters might have been disappointed to see the Australian leave, it is hard not to be happy about his success in the English top flight.
At the same time, the Hoops have moved on from the Postecoglou era and are looking to bring more success to the club with Brendan Rodgers back in the hot seat. Palma has been one of the faces of this new phase.
Palma was signed this summer from Aris FC although it would not be a surprise if he was on the radar of Celtic while Postecoglou was still at the club. The Honduran winger has shown promise with his early performances and is starting to cement himself as a starter. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist in 6 appearances.
