Celtic have been pretty active in the transfer market in recent times even though all of their signings have not been able to impress. Out of the nine additions that the Hoops made in the summer, Luis Palma is the one who has shown the most promise till now. It is still very early days though and it remains to be seen how things turn out for him and the others at Parkhead.

Celtic are expected to remain when it comes to signing players. And they are being linked with a potential move for one of their former stars.

Ryan Christie was signed by Celtic in 2015. He first started to appear regularly for the club in the 2018/19 season, the campaign which Brendan Rodgers left midway in order to join Leicester City.

Christie’s career has been on the upward path since then and he currently finds himself as a regular starter for Bournemouth in the Premier League. A return to Glasgow might very well be on the cards for him though.

As reported by TEAMtalk, there is interest in Christie, and a return to Scotland could even be possible. It is believed that Rodgers is a big fan of his. On the other hand, Bournemouth seem to be keen on handing him a new deal.

Christie’s current deal with Bournemouth runs out in the summer of 2024. And considering he has started every Premier League game for them this season so far, it is not hard to see why the Cherries might be keen to keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.

Christie certainly appears to have improved as a player since leaving Celtic. Is he better than Matt O’Riley on current form though? To be honest, it does not feel like so.
