Celtic boost confirmed with return of €5 million player
Things are starting to look up for Celtic. The club did stumble out of the gates and many had even started questioning the decision to bring back Brendan Rodgers. That seems to have been an overreaction though as the Hoops have gotten things back on track. Yes, getting knocked out of the Scottish League Cup so early was not ideal but they are seven points clear at the top of the Premiership after just eight games.
Despite that, it feels like they have never really gotten out of second gear. And as the season progresses, one would expect Celtic to get even better.
One thing that has not helped them is their long list of injuries. Players are returning to fitness though and that problem is slowly starting to ease a little bit.
Maik Nawrocki is someone who was playing regular football at the start of the season before his injury. And the good news is that he is back in training, with a return to action not looking far away.

As reported by Football Scotland, Rodgers said to Celtic TV about the situation of Nawrocki:
"“He’s (Maik Nawrocki) doing very well and trained over the last week or so. We only have Stephen Welsh and Liel Abada who will hopefully be back in December time. Thankfully that’s starting to ease off and we’re starting to get numbers back in what’s going to be a busy part of the season.“You always know you will have injuries, I just think at the beginning of the season that aligned with new players coming in and trying to adapt and settle was the challenge. The players have come through that really well and things feel stable and we’re excited about things coming forward.”"
It was just this summer that Nawrocki was signed from Legia Warsaw for a transfer fee believed to be around €5 million. He was viewed by many as the one to replace the outgoing Carl Starfelt, who ended up joining Celta Vigo.
Of course, Nawrocki might have a tough time getting back into the starting XI. Liam Scales has shined in the absence of several centre-backs and has to be considered a regular starter now.
It is Scales’ spot to lose right now. On the other hand, Cameron Carter-Vickers is fit again and should be a starter as well. The club also have the likes of Nat Phillips and Gustaf Lagerbielke, while Welsh is yet to return from his spell on the sidelines.
