Winger proving Celtic made a mistake letting him go
Celtic were pretty busy during the course of the recent summer transfer window. Not only did they end up making nine additions to their squad, seven on a permanent basis and two on loan, but they also parted ways with quite a few. Of course, it was the departures of Jota and Carl Starfelt that grabbed all the headlines and understandably so.
There were others who left as well, whether permanently or on loan. Sead Haksabanovic was one of them, joining Stoke City for the season on a temporary basis.
Haksabanovic has already started to show that Celtic made a mistake not giving him enough opportunities to show what he was capable of. As reported by Stoke City’s official website, he has been voted as their Player of the Month for September.
Celtic fans with a keen memory will remember that Haksabanovic did win the Premiership Player of the Month last November as well. But unfortunately for him, the World Cup break came at the wrong time.

Haksabanovic did not get too many chances after the World Cup break. He spent most of his time on the bench and rarely got starts.
He surely would have been hoping that the situation would change with Brendan Rodgers arriving in the summer. But it did not in the first few games of the campaign.
The player then went on to make a controversial post on his social media and was sent out on loan to Stoke City soon afterwards. He certainly seems to be enjoying life in the Championship though.
It remains to be seen if Haksabanovic can keep up his early season form moving forward. There have also been suggestions that he wants to leave Celtic permanently in January or next summer.
