Celtic player tipped for dream move to Real Madrid
Celtic have shown a pretty good eye for talent in recent times. Of course, some moves have worked out while others have not. That is just the nature of transfers in football though. Overall, the team have continued to enjoy success on the pitch and appear to have no plans to move away from their transfer strategy.
Celtic made nine signings in the summer, with seven players arriving on a permanent basis. One of their late signings of the window as Luis Palma.
The Honduran international was signed from Aris FC and has made a bright start to life at Celtic. He already has two goals to his name and nearly scored a famous goal against Lazio in the Champions League, only for it to be ruled out by VAR.
There are other areas of his game where Palma needs to improve. But there is no doubt about his ability to make an impact in the final third of the pitch. While he has barely settled down at Celtic Park, the Honduran is already being tipped for big things in the future.
Celtic player tipped for dream move to Real Madrid
As reported by Football Scotland, Palma has previously stated that playing for Real Madrid is his dream and his agent Paulo Hernandez is confident that could happen in the future. He told Diez:
"“He is a boy who I have known since he was 17. I have made a journey with him, and the credit goes to the footballer and his family.“It makes me happy to see him debut in the Champions League as a starter. What Luis has achieved has a lot of merit. I imagine that it is also a source of pride for his surroundings and the country (Honduras).“He is going to go as far as he wants. I remember that when (former coach) Mono Burgos said goodbye to Luis, he told him’; ‘Luis, you are going to go as far as you want’.“He is a very professional boy, he believes in his abilities, so he will go as far as he wants. At those levels it is the ability, we cannot forget that 18 months ago he was playing for (Honduran outfit) Vida and, last week, he made his debut in the Champions League.“For Hondurans, it is one of the most important (transfers) in recent times. In economic terms, obviously Luis’s will be among the top four or five in the history of Honduran football.”"
Palma has a long way to go before a move to Real Madrid becomes a possibility. Of course, the first step for him would be to play some incredible football for Celtic that catches the eye of clubs around Europe.
Real Madrid only sign the best of the best. So, it is very difficult to ever end up at Santiago Bernabeu. Can Palma do it?
He certainly has time on his side. The Honduran international is still just 23 years of age but has a decent amount of experience under his belt already.
