Celtic are always on the lookout for young talents. We saw proof of that this summer. Despite knowing that they were in the Champions League group stages already, as a result of winning the Premiership last season, the club only went after highly-rated youngsters. The only player they signed with some top-level was Nat Phillips, who was brought in on a half-season loan deal due to the number of injury problems at centre-back.

Most fans did not agree with this strategy. Unsurprisingly, we have seen them struggle in the Champions League once again.

But the fact of the matter is that they are leading the league once again, by 7 points as well, and they posted record annual revenue and profits as well. So, it is more than likely that Celtic will stick to their transfer policy for the foreseeable future.

The club are already being linked with one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the English Championship. Now it remains to be seen if they do end up making a move or not.

Celtic eyeing move for Queens Park Rangers striker

As reported by TEAMtalk, Celtic and Crystal Palace have been credited with an interest in Sinclair Armstrong. Queens Park Rangers are in advanced talks with the striker regarding a new deal.

It is safe to say that Armstrong is very highly rated and he is still just 20 years of age. He has not put up great numbers to be very honest. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored one goal and provided two assists in 11 appearances this season.

However, his overall performances certainly seem to have created waves. So much so that he made his Republic of Ireland debut recently.

Armstrong has been tipped to play in the Premier League one day. Those are high expectations for someone with just one goal in the Championship.
