Rangers are searching for their fourth manager in two years at the moment, as the Ibrox club struggle to deal with the brilliance of Celtic. Steven Gerrard, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Michael Beale are the three to have occupied the managerial hot seat during that period of time. Who will be next?

A number of managers have been linked with the Ibrox job in recent weeks. Of course, it will be interesting to see who the club end up appointing.

Considering how things have gone for their past two managers, it might not be the most attractive option right now. And some names seem to be already out of the running.

As reported by Sky Sports, one source in Holland suggested that a move for Pascal Jansen would be unlikely. His current club AZ Alkmaar are second in the Eredivisie.

Jansen is considered to be one of the top managers in the Netherlands right now. Celtic fans will remember that Jansen was linked with the Parkhead job over the summer when the club were looking for a replacement for Ange Postecoglou before settling on Brendan Rodgers.

Of course, the uncertainty around Ibrox is not something that Celtic will be worried about. In fact, it was business as usual for Rodgers’ side this weekend as they got themselves a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock to go 10 points clear at the top of the Premiership table.

It is worth pointing out that both St Mirren and the Rangers have a game in hand. But they will be facing each other.

Thus, Celtic are guaranteed to increase their gap over one of them if not both this weekend. St Mirren currently are seven points behind the league leaders in second while the Rangers are ten behind in third.
