Celtic did sign quite a few players over the course of the summer even though many fans might not have been impressed with the fact that they stuck to signing youngsters rather than going for established and experienced players. Some have impressed since coming in while others have not. That’s just how it goes most of the time at Parkhead.

There are still a few areas where Celtic could do with more options though. One of them is on the wings.

With Liel Abada out injured and Jota gone, Celtic have not been very effective from the flanks this season. Luis Palma has shown some promise in recent games and it remains to be seen if he can carry that early form.

On the other hand, Yang Hyun-jun has come under some criticism lately. On the other hand, we are yet to see Marco Tilio in action. Thus, Celtic could do with another winger in January, even if on loan, especially if they are still in Europe.

Manchester United are a team who have been struggling lately. And they have been missing multiple options on the right flank. Despite that, playing time has been hard to come by for Facundo Pellistri.

Now with Antony back available, that playing time is expected to decrease further. As a result, the winger could be available on loan in January.

If that is indeed the case then Celtic should definitely consider a move. Pellistri is a very talented winger, who just has not been able to break through at Old Trafford. He has already represented the Uruguay national team on numerous occasions though.

Someone like Pellistri could add another dimension on the flanks for Celtic. And a loan signing could help them get over the line in the second half of the campaign.
