Celtic sit seven points clear at the top of the league table while the Rangers find themselves in need of a fourth manager within the space of two years. It remains to be seen who the Ibrox club are able to appoint next after Michael Beale was shown the exit door following a bad start to the season.

It is safe to say that Beale had arrived amidst a lot of hype and was hailed as someone who could take the Rangers back to the top. Many people viewed him as a ‘footballing genius’ and he was hailed as the ‘mastermind’ behind the club’s Premiership triumph a couple of years back under the management of Steven Gerrard.

It would be safe to say that Beale was not even close to meeting those expectations. He leaves the club having failed to win a single trophy during his time in the Ibrox hot seat.

The club have been linked with plenty of managers in recent times. One of them is former Chelsea boss, Graham Potter. Is he really going to end up at Ibrox though?

Celtic called far better than Rangers as Potter talk rubbished

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Simon Jordan said on talkSPORT:

"“He is not going to go there.“Guaranteed Potter won’t go there. It’s not the rebuild mechanism he would be wise deploying.“It’s still not a club that managers on a certain trajectory will feel that there is a necessity to go to. If you are looking at Rangers and you are looking at Celtic and the reasons why Brendan Rodgers went back.“First of all, Celtic are in a completely different position than Rangers. They are a far better club on the field than Rangers.”"

It is hard to imagine Potter ending up at Ibrox to be very honest. Rumours have suggested that he has turned down quite a few clubs in recent times, as he is waiting for the perfect project to mark a return to football and rebuild his reputation after his terrible spell at Chelsea.

It is hard to imagine the Rangers job being that. At the end of the day, they are looking for their fourth manager within the space of two years. That speaks for itself. And we have already seen Potter struggle under the pressure of delivering immediate results at Chelsea.
