Celtic made nine additions to their squad over the summer, bringing in seven players on a permanent basis and two more on loan deals. But there are a few positions where they might still be a bit light on options. One of them might very well be on the wings, as they saw Jota leave over the summer. On top of that, Liel Abada has picked up a long-term injury as well.

Celtic did sign three new wingers in the summer in the form of Luis Palma, Yang Hyun-jun and Marco Tilio. At the moment, none of them seem on the same level as Jota.

Celtic need someone who can provide that spark up top for them. Someone with the ability to make things happen. And one very good option might end up becoming available on loan in January.

Earlier this year, Chelsea signed Noni Madueke from PSV Eindhoven for a transfer fee believed to be around £29 million. He showed flashes of brilliance and was one of their better players last season, even though his end product needs a lot of work. This season, the Englishman has struggled to get into Mauricio Pochettino’s team and rumours are starting to swirl around online that a loan move would serve him well.

Madueke has dealt with some fitness issues recently. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made just 3 appearances this season and played 124 minutes of football, scoring once.

At the moment, he is believed to be fit. But Madueke was still left out of Chelsea’s squad in their 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the League Cup recently.

Someone like Madueke could be great for Celtic though. He has a terrific ability to carry the ball on the right flank and while he might have struggled with his end product at Chelsea, his numbers for PSV were good.
