Jurgen Klopp is one of the best managers of his generation. What he achieved during his time at Borussia Dortmund and is continuing to do at Liverpool, as he put the German at the very top of the game. One man who is looking to reach those lofty heights in Ange Postecoglou. After a superb spell at Celtic, which produced five trophies in two seasons, he now finds himself in the Tottenham Hotspur hot seat.

Tottenham Hotspur have made a fantastic start to the season. One has to remember that this is a side that struggled badly last season and also saw their best player, Harry Kane, leave in the summer.

Most people thought they would have a tough time getting into the top 8 this season. Instead, they seem to be potential title challengers.

Postecoglou’s success seems to have caught a lot of people off guard. Those who were paying close attention to his run at Celtic won’t be surprised though. And Klopp appears to be one of them.

Liverpool manager Klopp makes superb Celtic claim before facing Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League

As reported by the Daily Record, Klopp said about Postecoglou during his press conference:

"“Tottenham are doing really well. Ange seems to be a top bloke. We haven’t met yet, I’m looking forward to meeting him, I’m pretty sure everybody knew that. When you saw Celtic play in recent years, what kind of coach he is, how good he is as a coach.”"

Tottenham Hotspur went toe to toe with Arsenal recently but could only manage a 2-2 draw. Now, it remains to be seen if they can get all three points when up against Liverpool.

It goes without saying that Celtic fans were disappointed to see Postecoglou leave. But at the same time, it was not hard to understand why he would choose to do so at this stage of his career.

It was not until his mid-50s that he got a chance at the top level in Europe. The opportunity to manage a Big Six Premier League club was probably never going to come again. And most Celtic fans seem to be happy to see him succeed at Tottenham.
