Manchester United want player who left Celtic for free
For many years, Andy Robertson was considered to be the one who got away for Celtic. Now, it looks like it is time to add another name to that list. Of course, all of us are aware of the issues the Hoops are facing at left-back at this point in time. Greg Taylor was good vs Livingston but overall, has not been great this season. Alexandro Bernabei does not seem to have much of a future at Parkhead.
Thus, Celtic could have done with someone like Aaron Hickey at the moment. He was part of the club’s youth ranks for four years but left for Hearts before ever making a first-team appearance. The Hoops were believed to receive 30% of a future transfer fee.
Hickey would enjoy a rapid rise at Hearts and soon ended up joining Bologna. He impressed there immensely as well, which earned him a move to Brentford.
His upward trajectory has continued in the Premier League as well. And as reported by the Mirror, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all ready to make bids for Hickey.

It is remarkable how quickly Hickey has risen through the ranks in football. It was not too long ago that he was getting his break at Hearts.
Celtic were linked with a move for him back then as well but it did not end up happening. And in hindsight, it was a mistake not bringing him back to Parkhead because he has proven himself to be a great player.
It is not hard to understand why Hickey chose to leave Celtic. The club had Kieran Tierney back then and there was no clear path into the first-team. It has proven to be a great decision on his part as just a few years later, he could be set to join one of the Premier League’s biggest teams.
