Plenty of Celtic players have been linked with moves to the Premier League in recent times and it was a bit of a surprise that none happened in the recently concluded summer transfer window. That does not mean that there were not high-profile exits though. Jota left for Al-Ittihad while Carl Starfelt joined Celta Vigo.

There are a number of players at Celtic who could get big moves in the future. One who would certainly fall under that category is Kyogo.

Kyogo has been nothing short of spectacular since he joined Celtic in the summer of 2021 from Vissel Kobe. Last season, he scored 34 goals across all competitions and he has enjoyed a fantastic start to this campaign as well.

Kyogo recently signed a long-term contract extension with Celtic. While that would have come as a relief to the club’s fans, it does not mean that he could not make a move in the future, if the right offer was on the table.

Frank McAvennie appears to believe that Kyogo could be a success at Manchester City. As reported by Football Insider, he said:

"“If he went in to Man City he would be a great player.“His movement is different class but I do not know if he would be ready because there are some big players down there. I think next year he might be ready if he keeps scoring goals.“"

Kyogo is 28 years of age and there is not a lot of time left for him if he does want to make a big move to the Premier League one day. But it is also possible that he might want to remain where he is.

Kyogo is a beloved player amongst Celtic fans and here he gets the chance to compete for trophies as well as in the Champions League. There would be a lot of risk involved in giving all of that up in order to make a move to the Premier League.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kyogo. Fans will surely be hoping that he remains at Parkhead for the foreseeable future.
