Michael Beale’s future at Ibrox is in serious doubt after he saw his side lose to Celtic at home. The team were booed at full-time and it looks like the manager might be on borrowed time now. It does seem like the Rangers might already be searching for his replacement but have already been turned down by one.

Beale was very highly-rated when he arrived at Ibrox as the new Rangers manager. Before that, he had been at the club as part of Steven Gerrard’s coaching team and was believed to be the mastermind behind their Premiership triumph in the 2020/21 campaign.

Well, things certainly have not gone Beale’s way till now. He is yet to win a trophy with them and has a terrible record in the Glasgow Derby as well, winning only once against Celtic and that too in a game where nothing was on the line. To be very honest, Giovanni van Bronckhorst had achieved a lot more during his run in the Ibrox hot seat.

It remains to be seen who the Rangers end up appointing if they do indeed replace Beale in the near future. They have already been turned down by Graham Potter.

As reported by The Sun, Potter has turned down a return to management with Rangers. An approach was made to his representatives but he was not interested in discussing the job.

That certainly has to be a major blow for the Rangers and their hopes of bringing in a high-profile replacement for Beale. Let’s see how the situation unfolds from here.

As for Potter, it will be interesting to see what his next step will be. His run at Chelsea was not good at all and he has a lot of work to do to resurrect his reputation.
