Celtic have certainly made quite a few additions to their squad over the summer. Mostly, they have stuck to bringing in highly-rated young talents from around the world. The results appear to be mixed till now. The likes of Odin Thiago Holm, Gustaf Lagerbielke and Yang Hyun-jun have made positive starts. On the other hand, Kwon Hyeok-kyu, Marco Tilio and Maik Nawrocki have been left out of the Champions League squad.

The most experienced player that Celtic have signed this summer is Nat Phillips. He was most probably not part of their original transfer plans.

But after seeing multiple centre-backs go down with medium to long-term injuries, the club had to make a move. And the Liverpool defender has arrived on loan for the first half of the season.

Phillips might not have played a lot of football for Liverpool. But he surely had some memorable moments. One of them came up against the iconic Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Phillips was part of the Liverpool team that got the better of AC Milan at San Siro. Phillips pulled off an incredible Cruyff turn skill move on the day, inside his own box, that got the better of both Zlatan and Franck Kessie at the same time.

Phillips was recently asked about that memorable moment. As reported by The National, he said:

"“I think it’s definitely a highlight for people who speak to me, because it always gets brought up!“For me, at the time I was just glad to get out of the trouble in the game situation. It was only after the game when people were coming up to me and talking about it that I thought it must have looked half decent!“But it wasn’t a scenario where I thought before it ‘Oh, I’m going to send him the wrong way’.”"

Moments like those live long in the memory and sometimes end up being defining moments in a player’s career. Phillips will certainly be hoping to make a few more during his time at Parkhead.

Phillips did not get to be a part of the recent Glasgow Derby win at Ibrox against the Rangers. But it looks like he could make his debut this weekend when Celtic welcome Dundee FC to Parkhead, as club football returns after the international break.
