Old comments go viral as Michael Beale on brink after losing to Celtic
Michael Beale currently finds himself in an unenviable situation at Ibrox. He saw his side lose at home to an out-of-form Celtic last weekend, thanks to a superb strike from Kyogo Furuhashi. And the result, combined with their 7-3 aggregate loss to PSV in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, appears to have left the manager on the brink.
Some Rangers fans view his recent social media activity as a possible hint as well. Beale might not be in the Ibrox hot seat for much longer.
This might be a good time to revisit some of his past comments though. After all, Beale has always sounded pretty confident, even though the Rangers have struggled to back that up on the pitch on numerous occasions.
Some of his past comments have gone viral on social media lately. They are from late last year, as Beale felt that the Rangers would have won successive league titles, if Steven Gerrard and his coaching team, had not left the club when they did.

As reported by the Daily Record back in November 2022, Beale said while speaking on BT Sports’ Currie Club podcast:
"“Do I think we could have taken it forward? I definitely think we would have won the league. When we left, we were still four points in front. There is no way they (Celtic) would have come past us.”"
Beale was a part of Gerrard’s coaching staff. And he has since made a comeback to Ibrox as the manager himself.
Things have not really gone as he would have envisioned though. Beale is yet to win a trophy with the Rangers. And his record in the Glasgow Derby is nothing to write home about either, as he has only won one till now, and nothing was riding on the result of that game.
It remains to be seen if Beale is shown the exit door in the near future. If he is, then his run as the manager of the Rangers would have to be considered a failure.
