Michael Beale on brink of sack after losing to Celtic
When Michael Beale arrived as the manager of the Rangers, he came in with a lot of expectations and many of their fans believed that he was the man to topple Celtic. After all, he was a part of Steven Gerrard’s coaching staff at Ibrox and was believed to be the mastermind behind the team that stopped 10IAR.
What many appeared to forget is that that is the only trophy Gerrard’s Rangers team ever won. Yes, they clinched the big one but their overall record cannot be considered a success.
We are seeing signs of that with Beale in the Parkhead hot seat. He is yet to win a trophy and has a terrible record in Glasgow Derbies against Celtic, having won only one of them till now. That too when the fate of the league was already sealed and Ange Postecoglou’s side were missing key players.
Beale saw his side lose the first Glasgow Derby of this season at Ibrox, to an out-of-form Celtic team. And now, it looks like his time in the hot seat is running out.
Beale on brink of sack after losing to Celtic
As reported by FootballTransfers, Beale is on the brink of losing the Rangers job. The club are already looking at candidates to replace the manager.
Of course, considering Beale’s record as the Rangers’ manager till now, Celtic fans will be hoping that he remains at Ibrox for as long as possible. Now, it remains to be seen whether he is shown the exit door during this ongoing international break.
Some of Beale’s recent social media activity has caught the interest of the Rangers’ fans as well and many believe that he is on his way out. They are being linked with Graham Potter already but considering he turned down Lyon recently, that might be a bit of a stretch.
