Celtic player ruled out for a month in fresh injury blow
Celtic have been struggling with injury problems at the start of the 2023/24 campaign. Brendan Rodgers’ side were able to get a win away at Ibrox last weekend but that does not mean that they are in good form at the moment. It was their first victory in three games. This team needs to build up some momentum and go on a run of wins.
Unfortunately, just when things were looking up for Brendan Rodgers’ side, they have been handed another injury blow. It looks like Liel Abada is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
News broke out recently that Abada had picked up an issue while away with the Israeli national team. And there is a concerning update on the situation.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Abada will miss approximately a month due to his quad injury. He was sent home to Scotland. Celtic will assess the issue themselves.

Abada has been a key player for Celtic this season. He appears to be one of the centre-pieces in Rodgers’ plans.
Last season, Abada had spent a lot of time sitting on the bench under the management of Ange Postecoglou. The expectation was that he would leave this summer. Things have changed drastically for him since the change in managers.
It is also worth pointing out that with the departure of Jota, Abada has now been placed as a regular starter. And he ended up signing a long-term contract extension recently, something that would have seemed almost impossible even a few months back.
Now, he is set for a spell on the sidelines and that is another headache for Rodgers. Hopefully, the players at the club can fill in for him. Celtic did sign three new wingers this summer in Yang Hyun-jun, Marco Tilio and Luis Palma.
