As Celtic announced their seventh summer signing in Luis Palma on Wednesday evening, the Rangers were sent packing from the Champions League qualifiers. Michael Beale wasn’t able to guide his team to the main stage of the competition, as they were defeated 5 -1 by PSV in the second leg of their matchup.
As the financial and footballing implications of that defeat in Holland hit home, many Rangers fans turned the focus on Beale. A lot of them are already starting to want his exit.
Celtic may not have got off to the best start for the new season, and Saturday’s draw at home to St Johnstone was hugely disappointing. The Hoops though still sit ahead of the Rangers in the league table.
Celtic do have a boost from the late summer arrivals of Palma, Nat Phillips and Paulo Bernardo as well. They are also boosted by the return of injured players in training. Rangers brought in players early to help get the team settled quickly, but that hasn’t really worked so far.
Rangers fans make Beale U-turn before facing Celtic
Wednesday night’s performance against PSV has left Rangers fans deeply worried about their team and the new signings who have largely failed to impress. Many reckon he’s maybe not quite the master coach and technician they expected.
BEALE OUT 🚫

As the fans expressed their views, #BealeOut is already becoming increasingly prevalent on their social media posts. It’s not a good position to be in for the visit of Celtic to Ibrox on Sunday.
Beale managed the Rangers to zero trophies over the second half of last season. So he has had some time already in the Ibrox hot seat and is less of a new man than suggested by those wanting to see him given more time.
Of course, Celtic are not in a great position right now either. And after a long time, they might be the underdogs going into the Glasgow Derby.
