Celtic fans were worried going into the game away at Ibrox. They had not looked convincing the entire season and were winless in their previous two matches. On the other hand, the Rangers were coming off of a 5-1 defeat at the hands of PSV in midweek but overall, their supporters seemed to be more confident.

On the day, the Rangers put in a disappointing performance though. A fantastic strike from Kyogo in the first-half proved to be the difference between the two teams as Michael Beale’s side could not really lay a glove on Celtic.

One also has to remember that this is a Celtic side that is still coming to grips with Brendan Rodgers’ style of football and were missing some of their most important players through injury as well. So, this was a golden chance for the Rangers and they did not even come close to taking it.

It was a superb result for Celtic. On the other hand, the majority of the Rangers fans seem to have made up their mind on Beale and want him gone.

Rangers fans made their feelings clear on social media after suffering yet another defeat at the hands of Celtic:

Hopefully, this result will act as a much-needed boost for the Hoops to kickstart their campaign and go on a run of results. It should give the fans a lot of confidence as well that this team can win silverware this season despite their bad start to the campaign.

As for Beale, it is hard to see where he goes after another Derby defeat. It is hard to think that the Rangers will part ways with him this early in the season. But most of their fans seem to have made up their mind about the manager already.
