Celtic have been very active in the transfer market over the last few days. It is not hard to understand why either considering how much they have struggled out of the gates this season. The team has looked like a mere shell of their treble-winning selves from the previous campaign and additions were clearly needed.
They have been made as well. Luis Palma and Nat Phillips have already been signed. And it looks like the arrival of Paulo Bernardo, on loan from Benfica, is only a matter of time as well.
On the other hand, there are a few Celtic players who seem to be drawing interest themselves. One who falls under that category is Rocco Vata, who has been in outstanding form this season albeit at the developmental level.
As tweeted out by Anthony Joseph, Celtic have rejected a £550,000 bid from Torino for Vata. The club hope to convince him to sign a new deal, but he would like to explore his options elsewhere. Lazio, Verona & Torino are all keen on a pre-contract

Vata is 18 years of age and has been making quite a splash at the youth and developmental levels. He has made a few appearances for the club’s senior team as well but does not appear to be a major part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans as of now.
Of course, that could change moving forward. The problem is, Vata’s current deal is set to run out next summer.
As a result, he would be free to sign a pre-contract agreement from January. And considering the level of clubs showing an interest in him, it would not be a surprise if he does consider leaving. At the end of the day, it has become a familiar story for Celtic in recent years.
