Celtic make long-awaited early morning announcement
It is safe to say that things have not been going Celtic’s way at the start of this season. They won their opening two games, but their performances left a lot to be desired. Then they were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup at the hands of Kilmarnock in the second round itself, a result not many would have seen coming. Then, they dropped points at home to St Johnstone in the very next game.
Celtic have been making some positive movements in the transfer market since then. They have already made the arrivals of Luis Palma and Nat Phillips official, and more are expected to be on the way.
On the other hand, there is some positive news on the jersey front as well. It looks like a leaked kit that had managed to catch the eye of the supporters, has finally been officially announced by the club.
As reported by the club’s official website, it is a limited-edition Adidas x Celtic FC jersey to mark 120 years of Hoops. The kit is a celebration of Glasgow’s green and white.

Of course, the kit features the famous green and white Hoops. The logos on the kit have been ‘ghosted’ or are in complete white, so not visible at first glance.
It is a kit that has earned a lot of positive reviews from Celtic fans on social media already. Thus one should expect it to be a big hit amongst the supporters.
Especially this season, when the design of the home kit has been so heavily criticised by the fans. Many believe that this ‘special’ kit should have actually been the club’s home jersey for the campaign. Of course, it will be very interesting to see if the Hoops ever wear the shirt in a competitive match.
