There seems to be a positivity around Celtic Park that was not there even a couple of days ago. The club have made an underwhelming start to the campaign but their moves over the last few days have given the fans hope that things can be brought back on track. Luis Palma and Nat Phillips have already been announced as new additions and a loan deal for Paulo Bernardo of Benfica is also believed to be just a matter of time.

On the other hand, it looks like the club have been successful in preventing any more major exits after Jota and Carl Starfelt left earlier in the summer. And they seem to have taken positive steps in keeping the core of this team together as well.

As reported by the club’s official website, Liel Abada has signed a new four-year deal. It will see him remain at Celtic Park until the summer of 2027.

While Celtic have struggled for form this season, Abada is one of the few who has managed to stand out. He is a key part of Brendan Rodgers’ team and thus, it is great news that he has committed his long-term future to the club.

It was not too long ago that Abada looked almost certain to leave that summer. He was not starting enough games under the management of Ange Postecoglou.

Some big clubs around Europe were believed to be interested in the winger. But now, it looks like he will be staying on at Parkhead instead.

The arrival of Rodgers as manager has certainly helped Abada regain his place in the starting XI. As has the departure of Jota earlier in the summer. The Portuguese winger was a nailed-on starter for the Hoops and vacated that spot when he left.
