Celtic linked with £6 million striker ahead of deadline day
With just days left in the summer transfer window, Celtic have a lot of work left to do if they are put out a team that is not only competitive in Europe but also capable of maintaining their domestic dominance. The start to Brendan Rodgers’ second run as the club’s manager has not been what anybody would have expected.
They are already out of the Scottish League Cup and dropped points at home to St Johnstone this weekend. They were not convincing in the two games that they have won till now.
Rumours have suggested that Celtic could make as many as five signings before the summer transfer window slams shut. But there are still no concrete links to players except for Luis Palma, which has left fans a bit worried.
Suggestions are that Celtic could look to sign another striker. And Mathias Kvistgaarden of Brondby is someone they have been linked with lately. As reported by GIVEMESPORT, journalist Rudy Galetti said about the situation:
"“Let’s keep an eye also on Kvistgaarden. Celtic have approached Brondby about the striker over the last few days. It could be a hot track in the next days.”"

Kvistgaarden is 21 years of age and plays for Brondby. He has also represented Denmark at youth international levels.
Kvistgaarden has showcased some great form in recent times but overall, his scoring record at the senior level cannot be considered as brilliant. But it is believed that Brondy would look for a transfer fee in the region of £6 million in order to part ways with the striker.
That would be a steep figure to pay out for a player with just 15 senior level goals to his name till now and it remains to be seen what the Hoops decide to do. The club could certainly do with another striker though, with Kyogo being the only man to lead the line right now as Oh Hyeon-gyu is injured.
