Celtic are rumoured to be looking to add as many as five players over the course of the last few days of the ongoing summer transfer window. Thus, plenty of fresh faces could walk in through the Parkhead door soon. Who those players might be remains a mystery as there are not many concrete links at the moment.
The only player Celtic seem to be close to signing is Luis Palma. The Honduran international is currently at Aris FC.
But there are suggestions that Celtic have already agreed a fee with the Greek club and it looks like only a matter of time before Palma ends up at Parkhead. It has been a while since these rumours broke out though and nothing official has been announced yet.
With the transfer deadline closing in, Celtic fans are unsurprisingly a bit nervous about deals going through on time. When it comes to Palma, it looks like there is nothing to be worried about just yet.
Reliable journalist hints at future Celtic announcement
As tweeted out by Giannis Chorianopoulos, Celtic are about to announce the Palma transfer from Aris FC in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Chorianopoulos is one of the reliable journalists when it comes to Greek footballers. And he has been on top of the entire Palma saga. Thus, it looks like the signing of Palma should be made official over the next couple of days.
Palma is expected to come in as a potential replacement for Jota. Now, it will be very difficult to fill the Portuguese winger’s boots, who was absolutely sensational during his time at Parkhead.
So, Palma will certainly have his work cut out for him. On the other hand, it must be pointed out that Yang Hyun-jun has impressed with his recent displays as well and could challenge for a starting spot.
