Right now the Celtic fans are on edge after a couple of poor results, which saw them get knocked out of the Scottish League Cup and a three-point lead over the Rangers reduced to one in the Premiership. The situation has not been helped by a player publicly hinting at a potential desire to leave.
This all started with Saed Haksabanovic posting an image on his Instagram account. The caption read, ‘If they don’t see your value maybe you’re not at the right place.’
Haksabanovic did not feature in the first two games of the season but recently made his way back into the squad with substitute appearances against Kilmarnock and St Johnstone. Had he made a decent impression in either appearance, the situation might have been different. But that was not the case.
Sadly, he didn’t change the general perception of a player who has yet to prove that he is good enough to be a regular at Celtic. Haksabanovic was unlucky not to be awarded a penalty against Kilmarnock. But other than that, he did not make much of an impact.
Celtic fans unhappy with several players after social media post
The social media post from Haksabanovic hasn’t helped at all, and fans are not happy with him and a couple of other players. As reported by the Daily Record, Alexandro Bernabei and Rocco Vata have liked the post.
The general tone of comments from fans online indicates that Haksabanovic is out of order for making the post, isn’t good enough to be a Celtic player and now needs to leave the club. The other two players have come under some criticism as well.
It remains to be seen whether any internal action by the club will follow. He does need to tackle the situation quickly one way or another though. And if this entire thing is somehow a matter of miscommunication, he needs to come out and clarify that to the supporters.
