We are now in the final week of the summer transfer window and this one is going to be vital for Celtic. The Hoops have made a lethargic start to the season and appear to be in need of some creativity up front as well as some defensive solidity at the back. Hopefully, reinforcements will arrive.

On the other hand, there are players who might head out of the exit door as well. The squad might look pretty different a week later.

One player who does not seem to be a big part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans is Sead Haksabanovic. The 24-year-old did not feature in the opening two Premiership games and only made a cameo at the weekend against Kilmarnock as Celtic were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup in the very second round.

As reported by Football Insider, Haksabanovic is looking for a move away from the club before the transfer window closes. It appears that he is unhappy with his lack of chances.

Haksabanovic arrived last summer and made a bright start to life at Celtic Park. He even bagged himself a Player of the Month award right before the World Cup break.

As it turns out, the break came at the wrong time for Haksabanovic. He never really found his feet in the team in the second half of the campaign and barely started any games.

There were hopes that with a change in manager and the departure of Jota, Haksabanovic would revitalise his career at Celtic. That has not happened. Also, with rumours suggesting that the club are looking to bring in another winger before the summer transfer window closes, the writing might very well be on the wall for the 24-year-old. His leaving might be the best step for all parties.
