Celtic fans are not completely satisfied with how this summer transfer window has played out for the Hoops. It is easily understandable why. When Brendan Rodgers was brought back for a second stint in the Parkhead hot seat, there were suggestions in the media that the club were ready to hand him a significant budget to improve his squad and had ambitions of making an impact in the Champions League under the management of the Northern Irishman.

Most Celtic supporters would agree that that has not happened. The club have been active when it comes to making additions.

The problem is that the signings that they have made are not ready to be starters from the get-go. They certainly do not seem ready to replace key players like Jota and Carl Starfelt, who have left over the summer.

Fortunately, it looks like the club are not done with the summer transfer business yet. Suggestions are that they are looking to strengthen in three positions. They need to be quick though, with just over a week left in the window.

Rumours suggest that Celtic are working on deals to sign a left-winger, a goalkeeper and a left-back. Fans would be pretty happy if the club managed to strengthen in those three areas of the pitch.

They need someone to replace Jota on the flanks. Daizen Maeda has not looked at his best this season in that position and might not be the greatest fit there in Rodgers’ system.

Hart is clearly not the long-term goalkeeper for Celtic and seems to be one of the weak points in the team at the moment. Thus, another option between the posts would help.

Finally, Greg Taylor was a reveltaion under the management of Ange Postecoglou. The arrival of Rodgers does not seem to have helped him.
